We’re racing home.
The day after we arrived in San Antonio, we got word that we had roof, lanai and tree damage from the hurricane, so we cancelled all our remaining park reservations and started to head directly home the following day. We are now in the panhandle at Ponce de Leon, Florida, expecting to arrive home on Tuesday afternoon.
The good news?
1. Our house is relatively intact, and we are exceptionally grateful. (Unfortunately, others just south of us in Englewood, Punta Gorda, Ft Myers, and Naples have been wiped out, and may not recover for months or even years.)
2. Just before we left, Wendy and I got to spend time and have lunch in San Antonio with Phoebe and Barb - Phoebe is my dear cousin who we hadn’t seen in years. That was a treat.
We’re sorry to have cut our great adventure short, but we hope that you have enjoyed this blog for 2022. Thanks for riding along with us!
Greg, Wendy, and of course Elliott, the traveling cat.
